The Committee convened on 1 April 2025 to review aesthetic directions currently circulating across high street fashion. Following deliberation, the following directions have been formally refused. Member brands and designers are invited to abstain from these directions in their AW25 and SS26 collections.
The Committee does not oppose aesthetics. It opposes the industrial mechanism by
which aesthetics are named, accelerated, saturated and discarded — a process that forecloses the
very individuality it claims to enable. These refusals are an act of deliberate friction. The next
report will be issued Q3 2025.
